Dear Anglers,
Our first Chicken BBQ of the 2008 season was a cold success. Thanks to all the members and their better halves that braved the cold and wind to make this another sellout. The MVBA chicken did a great job of drawing customers in.
The Erie/Barge canal will open for the season on 1 May, weather and conditions permitting. This season the canal system will reinstate tolls for recreational vesselsYou will be able to purchase two day, 10 day and season passes. Vessels under 16 feet in length will be charged $5.00 for two day, $12.50 for 10 day and $25.00 for season pass. Vessels 16 feet to under 26 feet will pay $10.00 for two day, $25.00 for 10 day and $50.00 for season pass.
Our next meeting of the year will be held at the Utica Gander Mtn. Lodge room, on Friday 25 April and starting at 6 PM.
Our second Chicken BBQ originally scheduled for 17 May, has been rescheduled for 7 June.
Change is inevitable and it's not limited to just the seasons. The Club President (Ralph Smith) has moved and will be off-line for a while. Just a reminder that to pre-register for tournaments, checks should be mailed to "Mohawk Valley Bass Association" P.O. Box # 95, Ilion, NY 13357. They should be received not later than one week prior to the tournament date.
