June 2009
Dear Anglers,
Our second tournament of the season was a success and was attended by 18 boats. Congratulations to members Aaron Stone and his partner Rich Nellenback who took first place. Second place was taken by Sam Spina and Pete Summa. Third place was captured by Todd Martin and Jim Griffth and Todd also had the lunker with a 4.75 lbs Largemouth. For more details, check out the Results page or the Standings page. Our next tournament will be held at Otsego Lake and will be sponsored by Ralph Taylor Agency Inc.
The Club President stated that all club members will be required to have their B.A.S.S. membership card with them at check-in for all tournaments. Also make sure your B.A.S.S. membership has not expired! No card, expired card, no fish.
Please remember that if you are going to have an alternate angler for your team, you must designate them prior to the first tournament and they must be a member if fishing more than one tournament.
Attention Members: As of the final meeting, we have one paid sponsor! Sponsorship Fee has been set at $115.00 this season. The sponsorship fee is needed to cover the cost of the trophies and plaques for each tournament. Without sponsors, the club covers the cost and it is subtracted from the Classic payouts.
If you have not submitted a "copy" of your boat's liability insurance to the club, please have one with you at your first tournament. It is a requirement for fishing with the club.
All members are asked to bring or email the information to update their personal and boat information and their B.A.S.S.# to Dale (Secretary) at : MaximusV@aol.com.
If you have questions, concerns or if you can't make it to a meeting please call or e-mail the Secretary (Dale Janes) at 315-868-6107 or MaximusV@aol.com or Ralph can be contacted at 315-717-1784.Just a reminder that to pre-register for tournaments, checks should be mailed to "Mohawk Valley Bass Association" P.O. Box # 95, Ilion, NY 13357. They should be received not later than one week prior to the tournament date.
